I will no longer rely on Amazon reviews to purchase a book. I bought this book because of the rave reviews and find that the book is just about worthless. I am no expert in the rules of golf but expected to learn much more from this book. If you are just a beginner it might be worthwhile.

I am now golf-educated. I play with a good buddy of mine every once in a while and he is quite good / I am quite “wanna be good” but am far from it. I nailed him for three penalty strokes during our last 18 hole match. Simply stated, he had to buy the adult beverages following the game because I had read this book. 18 holes of golf takes an average of four hours. If you are going to devote that kind of time doing anything, it is best to understand the rules. This is a well done book.
By the way, he is getting the book.

Everything you’ll ever need to know about managing your golf game, etiquette, and rules. I’ve seen a lot of these books over the years, and nothing else compares. This is a great gift for all your golf buddies.

I have bought golf rules books in the past, but they were incomprehensible. This book is very easy to understand and a delight to read. The illustrations are clear and detailed enough to explain every situation imaginable. I have always wanted to know if I’ve been scoring correctly (I haven’t), and now I know how. It’s a little too big for the golf bag, but it is indispensable for anyone who enjoys the game. I look forward to using it as a reference for many years to come.
